Borderlands Science
At Gearbox, we are committed to using our art to entertain the world, bring joy, and make a real-world impact. In April 2020, we launched Borderlands Science, a citizen science minigame within the critically acclaimed Borderlands 3, in which players help to map the human gut microbiome, advancing critical medical research. Almost 4.5 million gamers have played Borderlands Science since its launch.
STEM Education
Gearbox Gives is working to pass along the joys of technology and interactive entertainment to the next generation of creatives. Through partnerships with organizations and educational institutions from Texas to Kenya, we are expanding access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, refining technology curricula, and engaging directly with students interested in video games.
